Curd Rice

Ingredients

1 ¼ cups of fresh curd
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp urad dal
½ tsp chopped green chillies
Salt to taste
1 ½ cup rice
½ tsp mustard seeds
3-4 curry leaves
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Directions

How To Cook Rice

Wash the rice thoroughly and soak in water for 30 minutes. Drain it and keep it aside
Boil the water in a vessel and add a tbsp of salt.
Add rice to the boiling water and stir it; for 2-3 times.
Cook till the rice is cooked and then drain the water.

How To Make Curd Rice

In a bowl take that cooked rice and add curd and mix it well.
Now in a pan heat the oil and add mustard seeds in it.
Once it starts crackling, add urad daal, green chillies, curry leaves and stir it.
Pout tempering on the mixture, add salt and mix it well.
Garnish with coriander leaves.

1 bowl of cooked rice
2-3 chopped garlic cloves
1 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 medium-size chopped onions
3-4 chopped green chillies
Mustard seeds
Oil

How To Cook Rice

Wash the rice thoroughly and soak in water for 30 minutes. Drain it and keep it aside.

Ingredients

1 cup rice
2-3 green chillies cut in 3-4 parts
2-3 chopped garlic cloves
2 cups chopped spinach
1 tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
½ cup toor dal
½ tbsp cumin seeds
1 medium-size chopped tomatoes
½ tbsp turmeric powder
A pinch asafoetida
4-5 tbsp of oil

Directions

How To Make

Wash toor dal thoroughly for 2-3 times and soak it in water for an hour.
Wash rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 15-20 minutes
Now, in a vessel take chopped spinach and soak in the water for 30 minutes and then wash it thoroughly.
In a pressure cooker, heat the oil and add cumin seeds in it.
Once it sparkles, add green chillies, and chopped garlic cloves.
Then add turmeric powder, salt, asafoetida, chilli powder and spinach.
Mix it all together and add tomatoes and mix it again.
Now drain the water from toor dal and rice and add in the cooker.
Stir it well and 1-2 cups of water. Make sure the water is above the level of rice and dal.
Cook it for 2-3 whistles and serve it hot.
