How can you detect chalk in sugar?

 
Take a transparent drinking glass.
Pour water in it.
Dissolve 1-2 tbsp of sugar in water.
If sugar is mixed with chalk, the adulterant will settle down at the bottom.

Detection of dust, pebble, stone, straw, weed seeds, damaged grain, weevil led grain, insects, hair and excreta of rodents in rice.
Take a transparent drinking glass.
Pour water in it.
Dissolve 1-2 tbsp of sugar in water.
If sugar is mixed with chalk, the adulterant will settle down at the bottom.
Detection of boric acid.
In a small bowl or test tube pour some water and a small amount of rice.
Shake it well.
Add a few drops of HCI.
Dip a turmeric strip if it turns red, boric acid is present.
Detection of clay, stone, gravels, webs, insects, rodent hair and excreta in pulses.
Take a handful of dal on a clean plate.
Spread it evenly.
The above mentioned adulterants can be seen through naked eyes i.e. examining visually.
Repeat for 3-4 times to confirm.
